King Cobweb a dashing grey by Desert King won very well and showed some determined dash after being held up for a run for most of the race. Winning at his 3rd start over 1400m at Ballarat , you could see that the 3yo appreciated the step up in distance. Having shown a good turn of foot at his first start , running 2nd at Cranbourne over 1200m and then again in the money at his 2nd start over the same distance at Cranbourne a few weeks later.

A good looking grey , King Cobweb was bred by John Rattle who is also his trainer and is out of a mare called Move In Line who was 20 years old when she foaled the colt. So to all those breeders out there , they are never too old and its never too late for your girls to breed a winner ! It also goes to show that Desert King is a fertile stallion who has no problem with getting the older mare in foal.
